Monar Consulting, founded in 1991, specializes in helping companies become more productive and effective through individual, team and organizational development. Monar Consulting helps organizations bring out the best in their people and helps them develop organizational strategies and structures that give them the flexibility to navigate through change in a highly competitive environment.
Our Approach
Monar Consulting utilizes a team approach in everything we do. We work with our clients as “partners” and believe that the success of strategies, plans and programs are highly dependent on the full input and participation of key executives within the organization.

Mike’s Bio
Mike Monar has over 30 years experience in: organization development/redesign, change management, strategic planning, succession planning, leadership development, survey design and administration, creativity and innovation, executive coaching, facilitation, 360°s, individual/team assessment, curriculum design, talent management, team building, management and supervisory training, and designing /developing /delivering training. Mike has extensive experience working with engineers, accountants, scientists, IT professionals, physicians and other deeply skilled, highly technical professionals. Since 1991, Mike has been the President of Monar Consulting, Inc. in Evanston, IL.
Mike was the Director of HR for professional staff at Arthur Andersen’s (now Accenture’s) Center for Professional Development. While there, he had responsibility for all recruitment, performance management, compensation and career counseling activities for over 300 professionals. Mike also was instrumental in developing and implementing the Firm’s Education Methodology (Method-E) as well as recruiting talent to the new Change Management Practice both domestically and internationally.
Mike was Director of Professional Development and Organization Planning for A.M. & G. (now part of RSM McGladrey) for five years. He had responsibility for Partner, Manager and Staff performance management/development, staffing, promotion and compensation for the Audit, Tax and Consulting Divisions. Mike also provided management and leadership consulting to a wide variety of private/closely held clients.
Education
Mike has B.S, M.S. and Ed.S. degrees all from Indiana University with major emphasis in: Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Business, Psychology and World History/Political Science.
